THE LESSONS
Weekly, in-person house calls in Kanata/Stittsville (I'll come to you!)
Specialising in rock and metal music (but affirmatively accepting of other styles), Kanata School of Rock's lessons will teach students a wide array of techniques ranging from the very basics of the strings to advanced styles/abilities. Never straying from the roots of the guitar, I'm accepting students with musical ability ranging from no experience at all to intermediate experience. The lessons will be in person and personally tailored to each student to fit their needs, goals and musical desires. Most importantly, when it comes to the songs being learned, rather than solely learning exercises or songs/genres in which they have no interest, I believe it is most important that students are allowed to actively practice the songs that THEY want to learn.
ABOUT ME
My name is Daniel Geve and I am a student in the Faculty of Science at the University of Ottawa. I have been playing music for 7 years and have been a guitarist for nearly 4. Bands like Metallica, Megadeath, Death, Pantera, Lamb of God and Gojira are my favourite and most prominent inspirations for playing the instrument. I have experience in live performance of varying grandeur, I've built my own electric guitar and my goal is to pass on my love of music to others!
